Industrial parts cleaning includes comprehensive and diverse cleaning applications. Frequently, grease or polishing paste needs to be removed. Fluxes or oxidation are cleaned from electromechanical components or circuit boards, and great care must be taken not to damage the base material.
The Elma range of cleaning agents is designed to meet these very different needs. Subsequent processes such as coating are safe after ultrasonic cleaning and yield high-quality results.
To help achieve perfect cleaning results, Elma offers to perform cleaning runs on a trial basis in our application laboratory in order to find suitable cleaning processes and solutions in cooperation with our expert teams.
Elma Tec Clean A1
Elma Tec Clean A1 is used in ultrasonic baths for fine-cleaning electromechanical assemblies and PCBs. It also cleans and brightens yellowed plastic parts.
Contaminations, such as light polishing suspensions, grease/oils or residues of activated fluxes (RA type or F-SW class >32) are fully removed, and Elma Tec Clean A1 is suitable for use with PCBs and plastic components (housings) during servicing.
Elma Tec Clean A2
Elma Tec Clean A2 contains ammonia and is designed for cleaning ferrous materials, brass, copper, non-ferrous or precious metals and their alloys.*
This cleaning concentrate reliably removes dirt particles, grease/oils and residue from grinding, polishing or lapping.
*Using Elma Tec Clean A2 may cause damage to zinc, aluminium and light alloys.
Elma Tec Clean A3
Use Elma Tec Clean A3 after mechanical machining of stainless steel, steel, ferrous metal, titanium or precious metal surfaces.*
It reliably removes grinding, lapping, polishing and surface finishing agents, punching oil, drawing grease and high-performance cooling lubricants in the ultrasonic cleaning bath.
*Elma Tec Clean A3 is not suitable for use with aluminium or light metals!
Elma Tec Clean N1
Use Elma Tec Clean N1 for the gentle ultrasonic cleaning of metal surfaces and assemblies. It is particularly suited for light and precious metals and reliably removes oils, grease and residues from polishing, lapping and grinding.
Elma Tec Clean N1 is alkali- and acid-free, odourless and biodegradable.
Elma Tec Clean S1
Elma Tec Clean S1 cleans ferrous metals, aluminium and stainless steel, and it brightens brass and copper alloys. It removes mineral fats and oils, oxide layers (such as verdigris), rust and lime.
This cleaning agent is also used to passivate stainless or chrome-plated steels. The passivation action for chromic steels is based on an increased chromium content on the surface by liberating ferrous atoms.
Elma Tec Clean S2
Elma Tec Clean S2 is suitable for ultrasonic cleaning of stainless steel, steel and precious metals.*
It eliminates mineral oils, grease, polishing and lapping agents. It also removes rust from ferrous metal surfaces and calcium deposits.
*Always test the compatibility of Elma Tec Clean S2 with other metals before use (corrosion, tarnishing).
**Elma Tec Clean S2 is not suitable for use with light metals!
